Customer insights

At heart, we’re a backend company.
While our clients experience our products as front-end components, on AWS our platform’s success is enabled by our use of AWS Services including EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, SNS, CloudWatch, ElastiCache, API Gateway and Kinesis. More than 50 microservices work together in the background to power our products.
Customers approach AWS looking for personalization but personalized results for retail and personalized results for travel are very different problems given the historically limited data suppliers have on their guests. In partnership with Mobi we are able to deliver digital solutions that regenerate rich customer data and state of the art digital interactions that result in truly personalized trips and insights as well as the digital transformation many brands have been seeking for more than a decade.

What sets our technology apart
Mobi grew out of several labs at MIT in 2012. Over the past 10 years we have come to understand that great technology takes more than amazing code; it also requires art, design, enthusiasm for human psychology, and study of the existing forces in the world. Mobi brings together three key elements:
Cutting edge technology
Mobi draws upon state of the art constraint programming and machine learning to execute sophisticated collaborative tasks including routing, planning, forecasting, preference elicitation, and auto-scaling.
Understanding AI's limits
Even amazing AI fails when its creators don’t understand its strengths and limitations. Knowing how our technology fits with human preferences and skills helps us create the best possible user experience so travelers can collaborate effectively to make and execute plans in the real world.
Real world context
Providing great plans requires a deep understanding of place, as well individual needs and preferences. We have created a “genome of place” that characterizes locations beyond simple filters to reveal how, when, and why they fit into plans.
